  • Anonymous use: We do not require an account. When you create a clip, we store only the YouTube video ID, start/end times, a generated link, and expiry timestamp.
  • Technical data: We may collect basic log data (IP address, browser type, referrer, timestamps) for security and analytics.
  • Cookies: We may use cookies or local storage for session functionality and performance monitoring.

2. Use of YouTube API Services

TubeChop uses the YouTube IFrame Player API and may use the YouTube Data API to retrieve public video information. By using TubeChop, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

TubeChop caches only limited public metadata (video title, channel name, thumbnail) for up to 30 days, after which it is refreshed or deleted, per the YouTube API Services Policies. We do not access private YouTube account data.

3. How We Use Information

  • To generate and serve clip pages.
  • To maintain service security and performance.
  • To improve TubeChop features and user experience.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data may be shared with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, error monitoring).
  • Legal authorities if required by law.

5. Data Retention

  • Clip metadata: expires automatically after 7 days for anonymous users.
  • Logs: may be retained for up to 30 days for operational security.

6. Third-Party Services

TubeChop relies on YouTube. By using TubeChop, you are also bound by Google's Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms. Significant changes will be posted on our website.
